About the Diploma registry
The Diploma registry is a Norwegian service developed by Unit – The Norwegian Directorate for ICT and Joint Services in Higher Education and Research (formerly CERES) commissioned by the Norwegian Ministry of education and Research.
In 2011 the Ministry of Education and Research in Norway gave the University Center for Information Technology, at the University of Oslo, the responsibility to write a specification for a digital diploma registry. A working group, led by Geir M. Vangen, was established and the specification was handed over to the ministry in January 2013. The development started in 2015, and the first version of the Diploma Registry was put in production January 17 2017.
The Diploma registry has been developed in cooperation with the Erasmus+ project called EMREX.
